We are a non-profit group of individuals who enjoy the benefits of radio listening with IRC interaction. Many of us are former members of the original #monitor group existing on IRCnet in the 1990s.
Among the participants in our group, you will find shortwave listeners, scanner enthusiasts, and ham radio operators. You will as well find individuals who maintain professional carriers in radio communications, commercial broadcasting, and various data technology fields.
Our IRC system and web presence are available though a joint effort by multiple individuals. One of our co-administrators is the Utility Communications Digest columnist for Popular Communications magazine. We comprise and serve a diverse group of individuals with varying, but related interests. We do not discriminate. We welcome anyone interested in radio communications.
